Dear Students:

We are pleased to announce the 22nd International Summer Academy on AI in Healthcare, Medicine, and Biology, which will take place from May 27 - June 2, 2025 in the beautiful island of Rhodes, Greece. This event is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and co-sponsored by the IEEE EMB Society, IEEE BRAIN, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Houston, and the Technical University of Crete.

The Summer Academy will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its transformative applications in the fields of healthcare, medicine, and biology. AI, through its core technologies including Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) has revolutionized several health-related fields such as medical imaging, disease prediction, and decision-making by analyzing and interpreting vast datasets for meaningful insights.

The 22nd International Summer Academy will specifically explore the latest research and challenges in the intersection of AI and healthcare. Topics will include, but are not limited to, AI in Biotechnology and BioPharma, Cardiology and Oncology, Tissue Engineering and Digital Twins, Digital Healthcare and the Metaverse.

The academy aims to bring together scientists, engineers, and students to discuss these innovations and how AI can be applied to develop cutting-edge healthcare solutions. It will also highlight the need for a paradigm shift in engineering and science education to keep pace with these advancements and their impact on healthcare and economic growth.

We believe this will be a unique opportunity for participants to engage with AI-focused healthcare research and contribute to shaping the future of biomedical engineering education and practice.

We hope you will join us for this exciting and impactful event!
